Safety above all: Safe Cycling kicks off new cycling season with Tour des Alpes Maritimes et du Var
Shrouded in the majestic beauty of the Southern French Alps and the enchanting landscapes of the Var region, the Tour des Alpes Maritimes et du Var is a sumptuous symphony of natural splendour and sporting challenges. This cycling race, which has its roots in France’s rich cycling history, offers a unique experience for riders and spectators, merging the breathtaking scenery with the excitement of competition. This challenging multi-day cycling race is an important event at the beginning of the cycling season. We were therefore honoured, as Safe Cycling, to kick off our season here.
As always, an experienced team from the company took care of spotting and securing some dangerous and crucial points during the course of the race. For this purpose, we also came up with a new and more visible application of our LED arrows last winter. These are now mounted on reflective poles, making them visible from any position in the pack. This new approach offers, in certain situations and for indicating specific obstacles, a fully-fledged alternative to the LED panels traditionally used by Safe Cycling. What makes this alternative even more attractive is that it is available at a significantly lower price. This means that even smaller organisations with more limited budgets now have access to advanced safety technologies that may previously have been out of their reach.
This shift to LED arrows as a cost-effective alternative underlines Safe Cycling’s commitment to promoting safety and accessibility within cycling. We strongly believe in the idea that safety does not have to be dependent on budget, and by introducing innovative solutions like this, we aim to make safety accessible to all riders and organisations, regardless of their size or financial resources.
